loosing power going up hill

Hey Guys,
i have a 2009 JK 3.8 manual trans with 35'' tires, it looses power driving up hill. even downshifting fells like it takes a while to catchup.
any advise?

What is your axle gear setup? Anything below 4.10 for a manual 3.8 on 35's is going to be sluggish.

Recalibrating the speedometer is super important on automatics because it manages the shift points, but manual trans it only changes what the speedo says, so that is not your problem.

I would change spark plugs, if you haven't already. It's time. I was surprised how much difference it made when I did my 2009.

Use the gearing chart to see where you fit. I would hope that the ratio is on the rear diff. It's just a little metal tag, so may have been taken/ fallen off. Probably buried under gunk. Start there. If you have 3.21 or 3.73 that is probably the problem. Especially 3.21.
