So many adjustable track bars

After buying a new 1 ton tie rod and finally reducing my occasional wobble, I've decided it's time to also replace my old adjustable track bar.

I did a bunch of research and quickly noted the brands that market a lot, as well as the ones with a big fanbase. Weighing all the options and considering that my JKU is basically a daily driver that I may never off-road (thats what my TJ is for) I opted for a JKS OGS121 adjustable.

Synergy has a fantastically rated bar and of course we all know of the Yeti XD or Steersmart options and then there's the good ol' Teraflex a lot of people swear is 'the strongest' but then there's the newer Rancho XD track bar and then Core4x4 and Metalcloak, and Clayton and so on and so forth....so many options, not enough money and time.

My rambling point is that I have a JKS on my TJ and after many years of use and abuse, it's still holding incredibly strong. I also compared measurements and bushing differences, as well as warranty options and customer service. Some seemingly better than others but ultimately I decided on the JKS. Not only because of previous experience but also because Amazon had a warehouse "open box" deal and I couldn't pass up the price. Too boot, its rebuildable (like the others) but cheaper and proven with more years and miles than most. Will follow-up with a review after receiving and install.

Cheers to anyone who had the patience to read my rant. 🤘

Finally got to removing the "old"
Track bar. Looks to be Teraflex. Though, it has no branding. From some videos on Youtube it seems some of those Teraflex track bars has numbers or something stamped on the bar. This has nothing.

I'll add comparison photos of the JKS vs "Teraflex" below this post, because I kept getting an error message attempting to post here. Both are heavy. The JKS has girth over the other. Weight is similar but in my hand it feels like the Tera is a cunt hair heavier.

***QUESTION FOR THE FORUM***
It looks like the bolt hole on the axle is ever so slightly ovaled...I need to slide the bolts back in to be sure. But what to do if it is?

Your old track bar looks like it could be Rough Country.
I was thinking the same thing. Ironic since I was talking poop on them in another thread. I mean not so much speaking bad about them but saying that I have no experience with any of their products. Keep in mind, I purchased this jeep used. So I'm doing upgrades to my liking along the way.

On my WJ I drilled out the axel hole to the next size bolt, cut off the welded nut, drilled out my brand new track bar bolt hole by the way was a JKS, and mounted it up. 7 years later it was just as tight as the day I installed it. When I get a lift for my JK I'm going with a JKS adjustable track bar.

Awesome advice! I checked it with the stock bolts and the holes look to be round. Bolt slides in and sits nicely with a tiny bit of movement, so I should be good. If anything, I'll follow your lead and do the same.

Thank you for chiming in!
