What do you think of my black accents?

Some of you may remember I was thinking about a black wrap for the removable roof to give my '14 Sahara some black contrast to my all silver Jeep. What I decided to do was to add some black accents instead. What I added were grill inserts, black gas cap cover, and for the wheel not knowing if I would like black wheels I added some snap on wheel cover. Yep, just to see if it would give the Sahara a bit more rugged look. So Here it is, what do you think?

I also added LED smoked directional lights and side markers on the fenders.

I removed the silver-colored plastic piece in the center of the front bumper and the one on the rear as well. You then have solid black bumpers all the way across. They always look good after a fresh coat of Back to Black.
I added black retainer rings around the headlights and I have a black spare tire cover that I occasionally sport.
Upgrading your hood latches to the Rugged Ridge black would help also:

I kind of like the silver bumper center, however it may be worth removing them to see how it looks. I really like the hood latches, they just might be my next mod.

PO did the grill inserts, I like them. Being a Sport there is plenty Black counter to the Blue, including my hard top. I have thought about plastic coating parts of the aluminum wheels black to add accent there as well. Not full as I like some shiny aluminum at the wheels. It's your jeep, do your thing

I'm trying out the wheel covers to see if the black wheels give it the look I like and they give me some time to live with it. If the look sticks with me, I'll shop around for black wheels, something that will add even a bit more aggressive look.

It doesn't end with black wheels... flat black vs shiny. Man got these new wheels, I should get bigger tires... got bigger tires, I should lift it.

This is my 2009 with pro comp wheels and 285/70/r17s for reference. Had a different set of pro comp on my last jeep. You can spend thousands on new wheels, but you don't have to. I think these were $110 a wheel.

Yeah, I hear you about not stopping with new wheels. The wheels on your jeep look great, not bad for $110/wheel, in fact that sounds like a great buy. Now you have me serious wanting new wheels.:)

lol, my point wasn't to entice you into the rabbit hole. Many suggestions I've seen tend to be $300 - $400 per wheel. I was jumping the line and letting you know that you don't need to refinance to get a new look. If you decide to go the new wheel route, shop around for awhile. Wait for sales. The same look may be in made by other companies for cheaper.

I quite like the look of the ones you have. I'm surprised they are wheel covers. An even cheaper option is to paint the stock ones. Plasti-dip works great and is removable. You could even do it to the covers to get an idea of a direction to go.

I'm afraid I was headed down that rabbit hole the day I picked up my JK. You do offer some cost effective alternatives. However, now that I have latched on to the new wheels idea its going to be hard to shake.
