Hard water marks below door mirror

Hello!
I have hard water markings (dried water) running just below the mirrors on both doors. I think there is an o-ring or a rubber seal missing in the mirror body, between the cylindrical plastic and the plastic that attaches to the door itself. When it rains, the water deposits inside the lower plastic covers and it is starting to rust the components (thread-screw) that attached the mirror assembly to the door.

Does anyone have the part number (if any) or where to buy the missing seals? I would hate to buy an entire mirror assembly just for that!

Thank you kindly for your help

Did you try keying in your Jeep info at Mopar parts. Dried water, is that something I missed in Chemistry Class? I know what heavy water is H2O2. All Good.

FYI. I was just out getting my 2010 JK nose up for a big storm coming. Have the same water marks, never noticed them before because I do not need classes for piloting, only up close.

Just pulled my side mirror off, ain't going no where tonight. Mine is a piece of foam, I have no rust just stains. You would most likely have to purchase a new mirror assembly, Good luck.

Ugh. I didn't read enough, lol. My deposits were running down my door.

Original Post:
I just dealt with this. 50/50 vinegar and water. Spray it on, keep it wet, and let it sit. I think I let it sit for 1/2 hour. I then sprayed it down with clean water and wiped with a microfiber rag. Deposits be gone!

Ha, ha, ha.... i used California slang. Actually, it is the water minerals that are left behind when the water evaporates. They leave the imprints of droplets in the paint, as if the they were made of dried water.... ha, ha, ha. Hope that makes sense. The atmosphere can be so saturated with minerals that the rain may not be as clean as in Canada.

Our mirrors trap a lot of water. As a lot of others have done, I now drill drain holes in the bottom of the housing, as in this pic (not mine)

The full write-up is here. (@Chris, don't recall if this is in the "how-to" area)

I had a mirror corrode so bad it fell off. Now I do this and recommend it to others.
