Issue with soft top windows not sealing

I'm having an issue with my soft top windows not sealing at the top front where it fits around the upright, right behind the passenger door. It's like the window is too tight and pulls away from the frame and catches the wind down the road. I've tried pulling, stretching and everything else I can think of to keep the window in place with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

Also year. Early JKs have a different top than later ones. Basically, do you need to fit the plastic edge of the top into a channel on the door surrounds? When I bought my 2009, it had the original old style top, but the windows for a later model. the rear window didn't fit right. A mismatch in windows and top can mess things up.

Jeep is 2015 Wrangler Sahara Unlimited. Window will stay tight down along channel and door frame but pulls away at the top. Wind catches it going down the road and pulls it out even further and flaps around from the wind flow.

2015 sahara unlimited. And yes the windows have a 90 degree edge that fits in the channel of the door surround.

My TJ does the exact same thing, literally. It's because the rubber door seals are so large they don't get snug all the way with the channel when I shut the door. Still not sure how to fix it to be honest, other than tucking the seals in from the outside every time I shut the door.

Thanks. sucks that I can't resolve this. I've looked at tons of jeeps in parking lots and haven't seen any with similar issue as far as I can tell.

Well, you seem to have the correct door surrounds, and the premium tops are nice.

It took me a little bit, but I took a picture of mine and compared. You are not putting that section in far enough. It needs to rotate in another 90 degrees. At first it is a huge pain in the butt.
Essentially, that stitching should be in the door jam. You 100% cannot put the side windows on when the door is closed. There is a channel that the plastic fits into, similar to the bottom of the window. Start installation with that.

MacGuyver is correct, however, when I installed my new BesTop soft top there was NO way the window fronts were going to rotate into the jamb once you fastened the zipper. It was like the zipper location on the top was sewn a bit too far back and there just was not enough material to stretch the edge of the window forward enough for it to fit. In my case, the top was new and not yet stretched out, so that was part of the problem, but we are only talking about stretching the material over about less than a foot of distance (zipper location to door surround) so that was not the whole answer. I already had the rear bow as far forward as it would go (the furthest forward adjusting hole). In the end, I actually shortened each leg of the rear bow 3/4" with a hacksaw, and I was able to get the window to fit...and the top is still very tight. (Plus, I have a lot of adjustment left if needed later). Even so, it's hard to make the window seat properly at the top when installing it. If it were easy, I would remove the zipper and resew it with the mating end about an inch further toward the window, or somehow add 1/2 of material to the front of the window.

In the meantime, you can try unfastening the rear corners of the top, and with the frontbow fastened to the windshield, install the front edge of the windows and get them seated well. Then pull down and refasten the rear of the top, then finish zipping in the windows.
