I'm an occasional weekend warrior on moderate trails and outside of a half dozen quick jaunts to local campgrounds, lakes, offroad areas, and an annual 800 Higwaymile there/back camping trip to the Eastern Sierra Nevadas I only drive the Jeep on weekends and for quick runs to the store during weekdays since my employer provides my daily commuter vehicle.
I'm only about 30 minutes from the Hammers, but unless I hit the lottery someday, I don't see crawling as an activity that I will ever do routinely. I'm more of an outdoorsman but not so much overlander. I travel light and like to bang around in the occasional baby boulder garden from time to time.
Obviously, there are limitations to the Sport models, but I didn't originally intend for it to be much more than a means to get me out into the wilderness or to the lake. It's done that well so far, but as I'm sure you are all aware the bug bites at some point and you want to be a little more capable on the trail. You could call it a version of FOMO I suppose.
That said, I made mistakes modding early on, so picking the brains of the community to help me work on a logical and financially sensible (I know just empty every pocket) path of progression on my build is why I joined the group. I promise to search the forums before I ask any standard questions and you'll never hear the "Can I run 37s with no lift and 3.21 ration in my Dana 30?" type questions from me. I know my jeep's limitations and I want to get rid of some of them hopfully the comunities combined experience will help me on my way.
Also if anyone has questions about anything I've done to my JKU I'm always happy to answer.
