I gotta say the Apex 12k winch is great!! Pulls the HECK out of whatever I hook on with no troubles. Yes I bought it at Harbor Freight, and yes the name isnt as fancy as Warn, or Smittybilt, but the machine just works, very well. Plus as a bonus I bought a lift with the money I saved.

I'm up in the Brainerd area. There are some good forest roads near here, and spider lake near Jenkins is pretty fun. It's got hills, trails, some water, etc... there's lots of jeeps around here too but I'm not sure there's a big wheeling scene. If you are ever up this way send me a pm. Rob
