    What is this?

Maybe. Check out my link above and look for similar parts. I found the solenoid on the inside of the firewall on the passenger side. Went to a supplier that are experts on this system. Company discontinued the unit and parts are very scarce. When I'm ready to tow behind our RV I'll have to...

    What is this?

It actually is part of the RV/towing brake system. I found where someone teed off the brake booster hose as described in the instructions. It has since been plugged. 2. Cut the 3/8" or 1/2" I.D. hose from the engine to the brake booster and install the appropriate-sized T-connector. Install...

    What is this?

Apparently it was. The first owner bought it in Oregon. Probably a winter visitor.

    What is this?

And ... looks like the system is obsolete. Damn, missing components! Linky!

    What is this?

No toggle switch, but I think I solved it. We bought this used and obviously don't know all that the previous owners have done. I know it has a tow bar installed in the front and a box you can clamp a ripcord on and attach the other end to your RV. The brake has a pully and braided cable on...

    What is this?

Here are some more shots and more info. The red and black wires are attached to connectors and become purple and black wires. The black wire is grounded to the chassis and the purple wire dives down under the brake fluid reservoir and disappears into the cab by the master cylinder. For shits...

    What is this?

    I don't think so.

    What is this?

But why it’s just sitting there, unattached, and with no in or out tubing connected is a real mystery.

    What is this?

    What is this?

I followed the wires to a connector where they changed color and then disappeared into a junction of wires. If this was done after market they did a very nice job of making it look original. I got a better picture of the “US” imprint and it does say “Thomas“ next to “Gardner Denver.“

    What is this?

Yes, an in and an out. If you look close you can see the writing. Here are a few more shots including where my wife found it just sitting in the engine compartment.

    What is this?

Does anyone know what this is? It was just laying in the driver's side of the engine compartment. Looks like it was attached to something at one point but cracked and fell off. It looks to me like a wiper fluid pump but it doesn't have any tubes connected to it and both the front and rear...

    Hi all, new here!

Hi all, new member here. Hello from Somerton, Arizona just SW of Yuma. We bought our 2014 Jeep Sport JK two weeks ago and understand now why my uncle says it stands for "Just Empty Every Pocket." I've already put in seat covers, locking hood latches, stubby antennae, locking gas cap cover...
