This is exactly my installation. The Halos act as the new DRL (wired into an ignition feed. I have a Canadian Jeep as well! I am curious if you have tried AlfaOBD? I tried the option to disable DRL in there, and it says "completed" but doesnt turn them off. Maybe I need to purchase jscan...
