    Correct paint codes? (or close)

I've used SEM on a ton a stuff. I did everything on my TJ with it. It's great paint. If it was just the fenders I would just do it myself. But I'd need to take the hard top off. Lay it up on something. And plastic sheet my garage for over spray. And take the Rhino roof rack off. Which is...

    Correct paint codes? (or close)

I just don't want to deal with doing it myself this time. It's a lot. Top and roof rack have to come off. And fenders and bumpers. And my shop is a wreck. Hopefully I can afford it.

SEM has an an adhesion promotor too. You spray it down before paint. Eastwood I've heard nothing but great things about. Hopefully these guys estimate won't be crazy. Tiny little shop. Been around for decades.

Yes. Faded. SEM is considered the best for rattle can. SEM Landau Black matches TJs plastic perfectly. Alot of discussion of that on the other forum for years. Professionally I think SEM is top tier too. This place would be spraying it with a gun.

Man. Nobody wants to do this. I went to three places. Only one wants to try. Which is cool. Cause they are the cheapest place. Or the smallest. They want to use SEM Trim Coat. Which I guess is good.

No trouble getting it back up?

    Correct paint codes? (or close)

I'm getting my bumpers, fenders, trim and hard top repainted at a local autobody shop. Does anyone know the proper professional paint codes for these items? And what type of paint to use? I know it's not a gloss. But it's not flat either. I also know the plastic is a molded color. So I guess...

    Soft top

Ya. That's what I meant. Does a soft top on a JK fold easily up and down? In a TJ it's difficult without a hot day. As the canvas is meant to be as tight as possible. So it doesn't flap in the wind. If you fold a TJ top down. And it gets cold outside. Getting it to clamp back up in place is...

    Soft top

Just out of curiosity. How hard is it to put a JK soft top up and down? I know in a TJ it has to be a warm day. Or your screwed. I have a hard top only. Just curious if putting a soft top on in summer gives you the option of quickly going topless? But easily putting it back up if it rained?

Need advice with engine replacement options

2012 JKU. No mods. Excellent condition. 122k. This year Jeep had two recalls - bad rockers that tore into cams and warped heads. Neither of which were replaced by previous owner. And recall is expired. Having rockers replaced. Mechanic noted first cam he uncovered needs replaced. So probably...

Cheapest CARB (California) compliant cat for 2012 JKU?

I need a new right side CARB compliant catalytic converter for my 2012 JKU. I thought Magnaflow was the only option for $2200. But Eastern makes one for around $1100. Sold at Rockauto. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/ Magnaflow makes several universal CARB compliant catalytic converters...

    Replace steering damper with shocks?

Replacing my stock shocks with Ranchos. Should I buy the complete set that includes the damper and replace it too? My steering is a tiny bit wonky. But unsure if its just normal Jeep handling. Kind of drifts a bit at speed on the freeway.

    Interior lights adjustment?

When I get in the JK (without starting it) not alot of lights turn on. Meaning I'm sure the ones that are supposed to turn on do. But there just isn't enough light at night. Things that don't turn on - door locks, alot of the dash lights, etc. I've already upgraded the main domes to led. But...
