2.5" lift is getting a little saggy with all my upgrades.

Thanks for the reply! I havnt ever felt it bottom out on the stops. Its always rode about the same before and after the mods, but I do notice a little nicer firmer ride when its fully loaded. Its not as "bouncy" when loaded if that makes sense?

New drag link after AEV lift install?

I have a 2016 JKU and installed a Teraflex 2.5 inch lift. It did not require an aftermarket drag link, there was enough adjustment in the stock one to correct any steering issues. My guess would be something else is out of alignment. Last summer I replaced most of the front end components on...

    My 2016 JKU overland build

The jeep had a minor rear end accident this fall. Luckily I had my quadratec bumper carrier on and it took most of the force. Very slight dent on the plastic bumper and crash bar but otherwise the jeep was unscathed. I ended up getting a decent insurance payout and was able to get an...

2.5" lift is getting a little saggy with all my upgrades.

The leveling kit should bring it back up to normal 2.5" height or a little higher. I was just asking if there were any surprises when going over 2.5" I need to prepare for.

2.5" lift is getting a little saggy with all my upgrades.

I have a 2.5" teraflex base spring lift kit on my JKU. After adding the seat delete platform and all of the shelving, bumpers, winch, gear ect... The lift looks a little lower than it use to be. Can I get away with adding 3/4" or 1" leveling kit / coil spacers without upgrading much else to...

Scared to drive ol' Red: another death wobble story

Its been about 6 + months since I did the front end. Everything is riding great and havnt had a single issue with wobble since replacing, well everything on the front! After a short "break in" period and a couple hundred miles on the rig everything settled in and rides better than factory as it...

    My 2016 JKU overland build

Did a quick trip up to Marble CO and did a couple miles on Lead King Basin and Crystal Mill Loop. The road was washed out and impassible but a fun little drive. Didnt want to do anythign too hardcore but was a good run to test the front end. Everything felt smooth and should be back on the...

Scared to drive ol' Red: another death wobble story

The previous owner put spacers under the sway bar instead of adding proper length sway bar links or quick disconnects when the lift was installed. Looks terrible once I saw it on the lift. Not really a priority but they are 100% too short and can be done right for cheap. When the axle was...

Scared to drive ol' Red: another death wobble story

The lift has been on the Jeep since new in 2016, Nothing has changed in the last 6 months other than the Ironman MT's . I stopped by the local offroad shop and had everything looked over before I did the alignment. He tightened a few bolts and said everything looked good. The alignment went...

Scared to drive ol' Red: another death wobble story

Still a slight wobble at 50+ mph. I got the measurements close but not perfect. Been a busy week at work but no death wobble. Got 90% of the parts on and will be going in for an alighment tomorrow at lunch. Hopefully everything works out and it gets the little bit of shake out.

Scared to drive ol' Red: another death wobble story

After installing the RPM Steering kit including drag link and tie rod assemblies, stabalizer clamp, and Rancho stabalizer, and the new tires the shake is completely gone. I will still be doing the ball joints, wheel hub assemblies, track bar, and brakes in the front but the rain this weekend...

Scared to drive ol' Red: another death wobble story

I got most of the parts in the mail. Was able to get the tie rod and steering stabalizer on last night before the rain came. Feels tighter so far but only drove around for a second. Will know how it does on the way to work this morning. I plan on doing the rest this weekend weather permitting...

Scared to drive ol' Red: another death wobble story

I initially noticed a slight shimmy about a month ago and that was around 5k miles on the tires since new so I took them in to get balanced and rotated... It helped for a few days but was even more noticeable after and thats about the same time the death wobble started regularly. I like the...

Scared to drive ol' Red: another death wobble story

A cool 33 degrees this morning on the Crystal River. I took the Jeep for a test ride and checked PSI. Was sitting at 32 PSI cold. Same results, Super rough ride and death wobble at 30-35 mph. I dropped it down to 28 psi and drove around real slow doing wide turns to "warm" the tires up. I...
