I have a crappy autozone brand 🙄 I read you need OEM. Replaced fan and the problem seems to be subsided for now, however next project need to get an oem thermostat just to be on the safe side!

Well, I replaced the fan with the exact link you sent me and so far so good! 🤞🏻 I’m a little weary as last time it took 3 more days of driving to overheat again after replacing the thermostat, but I suspect the fan was trying to hang on to its last life. I’m thinking it had to be the fan though...
