Is this a factory Rubicon transfer case?

Thanks for the reassurance! I thought so, but the272 stamping in the ratio section on the tag freaked me out. Has anyone ever seen an incorrect ratio stamp before and also this strange serial ID (110512-JEEP2)?

Is this a factory Rubicon transfer case?

Here are some more photos from under and above the t-case. Is this the flange you were referring to? Also the notice the ridge web on top. That isn’t indicative of a standard wrangler transfer case.

Is this a factory Rubicon transfer case?

Thanks for the input! I did a crawl test and it does crawl pretty damn slow. I will take it to a hill later to put it through some tests. I will get under and look at it later today and check for the flange. I'm hoping that it was just a rebuilt 52103503AA case and they stamped the ratio...

Is this a factory Rubicon transfer case?

Here are photos of my brothers and mine. I know the photos aren’t the best but I verified they have the same ASS’Y NO 52103503AA and look the same to me. I just don’t see why the tag would have the right ASS’Y NO, but the incorrect ratio stamp. If it was changed to the standard the NP 241...

Is this a factory Rubicon transfer case?

The other thing that is weird is the serial number 110512-JEEP2. I haven't seen that on any other rubicons that I have compared to. Could that be some correction for the tag that hopefully indicates it is a 4:1? I don't know if I should be sad or angry. I just put $9K into new gears and a RE...

Is this a factory Rubicon transfer case?

I want to say yes, but they look so different on the ground than under the Jeep. My brother in law has a 2012 JKUR and the part number is the same as his and it looks the same.

Is this a factory Rubicon transfer case?

But part number on that tag 52123503AA is correct for a Rock Trac. What is more likely to be incorrectly stamped, the part number or the ratio?

Is this a factory Rubicon transfer case?

Hey there, my question pertains to identifying if my 2012 Rubicon has a 4:1 Rocktrac. My part number is correct for a RockTrac, 52123503AA and the build sheet for the vin says 4:1 rocktrac, but the ratio on the stamp is 2:72. I’m hoping that it’s that ratio on the tag is just incorrect. I...

Are Rock Krawler spring shims compatible with Rubicon Express springs?

I just purchased a 2012 JK Rubicon 2DR. The previous owner installed a Rubicon Express basic lift with 2.5 or 3 inch springs but left the control arms stock. I want to upgrade the control arms with Rock Krawler X-factor Mid arms. Does any one know if the Rock Krawler spring shims, that come...
