What did you do to your JK today?

Changed the hard top and full doors to the soft top and halfsies on Monday, then a cold front moves in and rain today. Tuesday I did have the uppers off and the Sunrider part flipped back. I really like the height of the factory half doors. Still need to do spring cleanup from the winter salt...

    Question on Next Improvement

I would say it really depends on how you want to use your Jeep. You don't say what model you have or if you have a lift or plan on lifting it. For someone just getting back into it, I would say diff skids, lower control arm skids, & an upgraded gas tank skid plate would all be good for basic...

    Suspension Recommendations

Yeah, I have the AEV 2.5 and I have their front bumper w/a warn winch and the rear bumper & tire carrier. As outfitted, it was a lot smoother than the stock 2dr I had with Rubi springs. I new set of shocks may help, but I agree the suspension seems to like a little heft on the 2dr.

What did you do to your JK today?

Okay, not necessarily done to my jk, but I use it with my JK and it's jk-adjacent, 😁 Scored a set of Moab hikers. Friend of my daughter works for Wolverine World Wide and gets these not-for-resale samples. She saw these and thought of our family. I got to them before my son did 😂. I've had...

What did you do to your JK today?

I have to add, mine had the AEV 2.5" lift when I got the jeep at 22k miles. At 98k miles, here's my observation. It's got 3.73 gears &35s ‐ regear highly recommended but elevation and terrain play a big part... i plan on doing it, just hasnt been a priority. I'm done doing really technical...

    Recirculation door 2014 JKU

Oh man. I just did some searching and found that the baffle is part of the housing (2014-2018) 68232367AA and it's not cheap. I'm seeing $659 online. I would suggest using car-parts.com and going used or attempting a repair. Looks like a pain to replace, too. Good luck.

Freedom top seals or leak fix

Sometimes replacing seals, sometimes just cleaning things really well. I searched the resources area and didn't find it, but I've attached the "Jeep Wrangler Diagnosis & Repair Manual - Water Leaks" pdf that I got some years ago off the web. I've battled leaks on some of my JK's and others have...

    Torque Pro users

I have a 2016 with the factory evic that shows individual tire pressure. I think that's the requirement, but if you can see TPMS data in jscan, it seems you would be able to display it in torque. All I can say is the values above are what I used in my torque app and it does work on mine.

    Mishimoto or Dorman oil cooler?

I don't recall how much coolant loss was involved. I usually use vice-grip hose clamps to minimize loss. 50/50 is more convenient but concentrated coolant is cheaper (just use distilled water to mix). For spark plugs and sensors, I go with oem. Just because the plugs are such a pain to get to...

LED low beam headlights too bright for oncoming traffic

Some inexpensive led headlights just don't have a a good pattern. Even aimed properly, they can produce a lot of glare. Also if the light is colder (more on the blue side), our eyes will perceive them as brighter, even if they aren't. Personally, I wish Cibie still made the halogen headlight...

    Is this the correct coolant?

Last time I replaced a radiator, I got the best price for coolant on Amazon. The 50/50 mix costs more, but it's nice not to not have to deal with mixing. I would also consider getting this as it makes burping the system almost fool-proof.
