I know this has been discussed at length in this forum and others but I am at a loss for what else could be causing the heater/ac controls to only work 50% of the time. What works: - Blower works - Speed works - Vent selection works - Heat / AC works 50% of the time...meaning it is a crap shoot...

Did you have to replace all 3 blend doors? I replaced the one on the drivers side and the control unit and I still get the gyrations and it is a 50/50 chance that the heat will work.
