Yeah, I did try to replicate the issue, so far without success. We do have those chunky rubber floor mats, so I could see the pedal getting stuck, but it's really just a guess at this point.

The vehicle is a new-to-me 2012 JK, 42000 miles, 3.6, manual, good service records according to Carfax. I was driving, almost home, and mashed the accelerator pedal to the floor, and when I let off the pedal...it just kept on accelerating! It happened very fast, so I'm not sure exactly what...

I'll check out that book. I'm currently using OnX to find suitable trails, so it will be good to have an actual book to look through as well. Did a couple trails this past weekend that OnX has rated as 3/10. It's been fun to feel from the driver's seat what the Jeep can do and make seem easy!
