That's not the same thing as being legal, which is what I was responding to.

True enough, but that's broken, not removed. The OP is posting from Oregon. In Oregon, and all of the USA, removing the cats is illegal. Admittedly, the smog laws are not always sensible. For example, it is illegal to change the number or location of the cats, even if doing so results in a...

It is no longer 1974. Removing the cats makes virtually no difference. Certainly not enough to feel. And what little gain there is, is only at high RPMs. Which is not a place Jeeps should be living. The 3.8L was rated at 200HP brand new. My wife considers that to be enough. I do not. So I...

    LED headlight recommendations?

No codes. Pretty much P&P. Working from memory (which can be a frightening thing at this point...) they have a hyperflash resistor included.

What did you do to your JK today?

Not today, but here's a couple shots from our trip over Medano Pass to the Great Sand Dunes. And for no particular reason, here's one of our domesticated polar bears.

What did you do to your JK today?

Loaded up the recovery gear. If anybody is in the area, you are invited to join us on the 24th. We're planning to run Medano Pass.

    Coming up on 200k

Being well cared for is why you're looking at a rebuild at 200K, rather than 100K. I've used Blueprint Engines for a lot of swaps. There are plenty of others, but I am most familiar with Blueprint. I used one of their LS3's as the basis for my Corvette build. A V8 swap is always the best...

    Coming up on 200k

With 200K on the clock, you're going to want to strip it down to a bare block. Machine the block, and resurface the heads. You'll want valves and valve springs. Machining the block will require new pistons. There's a good chance you will need a new cam, and a fair chance you'll need a crank...

    Replacement Soft Top Source?

I had a Bestop on my YJ and wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

    Axle Breather Tubes

If you're actually be underwater, you will need longer vents. What I did was run the hose into the engine bay. Grab a filter like you put in your valve covers. Plug the hose into that and mount it high on the firewall. If that goes underwater, you're likely to have worse worries than your gears.

Best actual rock sliders for 09 JKUR

I've got Motobilt on the 392 and Poison Spyder on the JL. I think this is one of those times when the brand isn't particularly important.

Looking for different fender flares with a turn signal in them

Order whatever flares you like. Then grab some LEDs from Amazon. I got these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09BVK1LMD?tag=wranglerorg-20
