So…my son sends a text that the 2008 JK is not running right. Got a P0300 code and it limps it sounds like. He also said “the muffler is hanging” He’s 22 and an E4 101st, and I might strangle him. Not sure how he lets the exhaust do that. Any chance that can correlate? I’m reading new plugs...

So I did what you said, all good, appreciate it. There’s a bigger problem. This has been an overheating problem for a while. I think getting this ECT exposed it worse

Got it out, dam. Had to use the easy out and get it all the way bottomed out. Didn’t end up needing to drill

I walked (and cussed), my process to clear the head and think on these without making it worse. I came to the same, gonna soak penetrant on it , clean the area to make sure it can get down there, and clean out the wiring, measure for an easy out, and go get one. Thanks for the link

Mind is racing here, it was so stuck the dam thing broke off, and I didn’t think I was turning that hard. So it’s obviously frozen in there hard, I can only think it’s going to be crazy hard to get out now.

So….the ECT just broke off on my son’s 2008 Jeep Jk! I’m stepping away, as I’m about to lose my cool here. A simple sensor job just turned into a couple days of work most likely. Anyone see this??
