I gotcha! Yeah, I made sure the jiggle cap was still moving like it should and just reattached it to the slightly shortened hose. I sure appreciate the quick replies!

So, of that's the case would it be possible that it could have caused some damage to my transmission if it's been left cut open for awhile? I'm not too savvy when it comes to automechanical stuff. I can do a little bit, but I really don't know about this one at all.
