The Brandmotion "Summit View" cam kit comes with the OBDII dongle. Plug it in and it's flashed the ECU to turn the backup cam circuit on. No dealer trip needed.

What did you do to your JK today?

Replaced the "Stubby" antenna with a Rugged Ridge 7" whip because.....I'm going to be the new station voice for our local Country station.....and I want to be able to hear the finished product.

    New Lift

I bought mine used with a 4" BDS kit with Fox shocks and stabilizer. Over bumpy roads its a little stiff but, it handles way better than you'd ever expect something with 35" tires to handle.

How to use a JScan tool

Jscan is a free download from the App Store or the Android equivalent. You need a OBD2 dongle to make it work. That's about $100. There's a section on the app with recommended dongles. I'm using the "OBD Link MX+"

It's super easy to use, thats for sure. Fixed my speedo and Daytime driving lights. Had to use my fogs for that. I have halos on my front signals that I wanted to use but, there's no provision to use running lights as DRL. The license is just a little over $20. Well worth it. I'll have it...

Water leak on passenger side floor pan

I'm learning this lesson now :ROFLMAO: Had a lot of water on the drivers side. Dealer replaced the door seal. Of course, while they were checking for leaks...they left about a quart of water on the drivers side. "Dry out take 2" in progress now.

    Synthetic oil

+1 to BLACKJKU's thought. Pretty much any name brand full synthetic will work fine. Changing at 5k might be a bit premature. Even in air cooled Harley Davidson motorcycles, the interval is 7k....and that's with some really high heat stress.

What did you do to your JK today?

Mine weren't really greyed out yet. Being a bit proactive. A little seems to go a long way with this stuff. Kind of like Armor All on steroids.
