What did you do to your JK today?

There is a recall for the airbags in 2010-2016 Wranglers. Has yours been done?

The Dealership messed up my clockspring on the Driver airbag recall 10 yrs ago. Have no horn now, (no other controls on the Sport steering wheel) Then I was mailed a Passenger airbag recall. No, Non, Nein, Het. Had posted this before, popped up my airbag fuse years ago because of the Moose here. And my Doggy will not buckle up.

I let it sit in the garage, transmission-less. Had some stuff come up that prevented me from starting the install. Still hope to have it back on the road by the end of the week though.
On the up side, the weather has been quite warm for December - 60F today - so I'm still able to drive the Vette.

60 in Colorado yet here in Tennessee we didn't get above freezing all day.

Dug it out again from the snow, to get Dog Food and veggies. Good for another week, Did I post this pic, before we got hit again? All Good

My wife took a pick of me yesterday, we had more snow. This was after I had already cleared the JK on Tuesday ( previous pic). My best friends Great Grandparents lived here during the Boer War. That is 124yrs ago. I do not know how they survived? Moose, Deer, Bear, wood, (and I was told home brew) and whale oil for lighting. They were Scottish Pioneers alright.

Is this amount of snow normal for this time of year where you are ? That’s a lot
Are you higher in elevation ?
Was watching the news a couple weeks ago and somewhere around Michigan I think it was . 6 FEET of snow over 2 DAYS . Crazy !!

Also, finally got my winch reinstalled after the bumper upgrade. Yay me...
Really like the new OuttaHand Fab bumper compared to the god awful warn bumper that was on there.

Way northern Michigan, even that's a bunch over such a short time. There's a snow pole in Houghton/Hancock (UP) that goes up over 300 inches. Their record is ~350 inches for one winter.

Buffalo and Canada north of Lakes Erie and Ontario get hammered regularly because lake effect. They were getting the feet of snow. Heh, they asked for volunteers last Saturday to clean out the football stadium because ithe game wasn't gonna happen without it.

SE Michigan got a couple inches and it just disappeared over the last day and a half. It's 40 and raining now, headed for low 50s.

Very familiar with that snow pole from my days at MTU!

I had it powder coated, I just like the durability much better. The intensity bumper is what I have, but without the additional skid and a couple changes to the hoop. It and the insanity rear work great in fixing approach/departure angles.

We have several of their pieces ( bumpers, skid plates, cross member, sliders & inner fenders) on our jeep and have been very pleased with everything so far. And without trying to sound like a salesman, they have the best customer service I have ever dealt with Any questions, hit me up.

Pulled this off Wikipedia as was curious about the name

Hancock has a humid continental climate, with long and snowy winters and much lake effect snow. It is the third-snowiest city in the United States, the snowiest city in the Midwestern United States, and the snowiest city in the Eastern United States, with snowfall averaging 211.7 inches or 5.38 metres per year. The city is along the Keweenaw Peninsula. In 1978–79, a whopping 390 inches or 9.91 metres of snow fell in Hancock. Accumulating snow has been known to fall as late as early June here.

That is an absolute insane amount of snow . Makes western CDN winters look extremely mild . Interesting about the lake effect . Never heard of it before .

Yeah, Houghton/Hancock are sister cities on each side of the Portage canal but very close to Lake Superior. Both are college towns and many, like myself, experienced it first hand while in school. I spent many childhood years in Grand Rapids, MI which receives lake effect snow from Lake Michigan, but nothing like the Keeweenaw Peninsula! I think the snowiest year I was up there we received ~300". Crazy!!

And summers are great, except for the mosquitos, black flies and other biting insects. I camped up in Copper Harbor for two days on a motorcycle ride around the perimeter of the Upper Peninsula.
