What are my engine swap options for a 2015 JK?

Wonder what motor swap options I have in nj for a daily driver. Has the 3.6 in it, wanted a diesel but can’t because nj laws 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 I overland with it and just trying to squeeze some more range out of it . May a hemi with multi cylinder shut off ??
 
Why? The 3.6 is perfectly suited for the JK. It's got plenty of power, it fits, and parts are easy to come by.

A popular swap is the 5.7 Hemi swap, 6.4 Hemi swap, or an LS swap. All of those are very well documented, albeit not very cheap.

Nothing is going to yield you better gas mileage unless you swap in a diesel engine, and even then, the cost will outweigh the gains.
