I’m about to put the lift on my rig following 35s. Will the factory tire carrier hold up with the 35 spare or do I need to add a new rear bumper to my long list? Also my 4 low will not engage but 4 high is good to go. What should I do to troubleshoot? Adjust linkage? Thanks for the help. Jeep on

You need an aftermarket tire carrier for a 35" tire. AEV is my number one choice followed by Teraflex.
The AEV requires either the Hard Rock factory bumper, or an AEV bumper. The Teraflex does not require a new bumper, as it integrates to the factory mounts.
As for not engaging in 4 low, I'd check the linkage adjustment.

Teraflex video is a little over information, but helpful. You Basically need a tiny bit of movement to get it into 4 low. As for the tire carrier, yes it's needed, in addition to Chris suggestion, metal cloak makes a very nice rear bumper, as well as the gate reinforcement type. Here is my metalcloak bumper
