Replaced the thermostat housing (aftermarket part) due to code but no issues. Now its running hotter past the center line sometimes to the first mark and fan stays on a lot with fluctuations. Is this part not working? Left the radiator cap off a while parked at an upwards slant to get air out. Do I need a OEM thermostat? 2014 sahara

I got an aluminum aftermarket housing not mopar. Should I get mopar and change it again? It fluctuates and fan comes on a lot wasnt doing any of that before I changed it.
Mahle makes the OE part and is cheaper.
Did you buy off Amazon? Lots of junk counterfeit parts there. Buy a Mahle off Rock Auto. That’s what I have on mine when the thermostat died.
