Hello, thought I would share some subtle mods to the Jeep.
1. Lucked out with take off Mts with 1000 miles - $400 bucks
2. Black center caps and lug nuts
3. Underseat subwoofer
4. Fog light yellow/driving light white & bed lined the bumper

Thanks for sharing! Great job… a question on the bed liner bumper: did you do that yourself or take it to a shop? If you did it yourself, what product and process did you use? How do you feel about the future of working on and around the bumper now? Did the bed liner make anything more challenging, like getting fasteners off, fog lamp wiring, etc.? Did you keep it solely to the exposed and visible parts or did you just keep on around the sides, back, etc.?

Great find on the tires! I’m hesitant to go with aggressive MT’s here since we get so much rain in the winter and my Jeep will be seeing significant highway miles compared to off road miles, but I’m thinking about it!

Thank you sir, I have attached the images of the before/after and the product I used. Below are the steps I took and I never took the bumper off - goal was to clean up the image so only concerned with what I can see, but I did get around the back about the depth of the tire.

1. Scrub daddy and dawn to clean the bumper
2. Plastic drop cloth to cover the vehicle and painters tape to secure
3. Blow vac bumper till dry
4. Let it sit in the sun till hot
5. Multiple light coats until can was empty

As far as tires go, I needed a new set, and i'm frugal so I waited for a set of take offs to come around and most folks don't want the MT's because of their specific taste, but I wanted new tires more than I wanted to spend 1500 bucks on a perfect set.
I like them, they balanced way better than the BFG K02s I had on, and although I do hear them at highway speeds I never expected my Jeep to be luxury quite in the first place so Im happy - my wife never said anything either so she doesn't notice any real difference.

If I were you, I'd invest in some LED headlights. Stock halogens should be illegal.

yeah man subtle is the way to go. tires and a decent lift are like 90% of what you actually need. slap some skids underneath if you're doing any real wheeling, way better than it sounds. i run some basic bumpers on mine and honestly looks clean without being too extra. people go overboard with all the light bars and decals and it just looks like a mall crawler imo lol

Everything works just fine with zero flicker. I like the ability to switch between yellow and white by just turning the auxiliary lights off and then on again, and they have a tint to them so they look cool to me.... I wouldn't say they are super bright, but the difference is significant. I did have to adjust the auxiliary lights down as they were well above the tape line I had on the wall from the factory ones.

I marked then light elevation lines on the garage wall and adjusted them correctly. Not sure why you are so focused on my headlights being stock, and then on them being aftermarket. I do my due diligence to ensure my upgrades don’t downgrade other folks driving experience.

Because LED bulbs aren't designed for Halogen reflectors and it can cause crashes. There's a ton of science behind this. Of course I'm going to call out someone being irresponsible with their vehicle, you're not special just because you cannot take suggestions or constructive criticism.

So, I already stated that I adjusted the headlights. If you plan on being so defensive because your science leads you to believe i'm wrong I suggest you you back that up with facts from my specific case. otherwise, your input is noted, however, irrelevant in this case. Once again, I adjusted my headlights to avoid blinding oncoming traffic. Kindly stop with your point as it is becoming annoying and is not constructive as you believe your point of view is.

OP….your Jeep stuff looks good. I’m not a fan of MT tires for most purposes but your reason for buying them is solid reasoning. Nice looking tires! Nice Jeep….I’d give you a duck….if I gave out ducks!!

I notice it looks like you have the JL hood latches. Did you put them on and do you like them over the original latches?

When I was growing up back in the 80’s and early 90’s I literally had CJ posters on my wall and I dreamed of those darn things. We had a neighbor down the road with a stick shift Jeep J20 pickup which he let me drive so I can put in his firewood every summer (imagine the joy for a 12 year old, which is how old I was that first summer!). That was the closest I came until recently, when I bought my first Wrangler. I had to drive it home 3 hours, the last half hour or so in the dark. It was a great thing my wife was with me in a separate car, because I literally had to rely on her to get me home, leading the way.

I had no idea the headlights in the Wranglers are so troublesome! It was the first thing I upgraded several week ago, doing the tape on the garage door routine. It was worth it, and everyone is safer for it too. The posters on the walls never prepared me for the trouble, and my Cherokees over the years had fine illumination. Our latest model (a 2022 Trailhawk) has some of the best headlights I’ve ever seen. My Wrangler may not be quite that great, but they do out perform my Ford Super Duty, without a doubt.

I’m going to leave my fog lamps as is for now, but might do something with them down the road. When I was young all fog lights were really amber, so the stock units are just a warmer version of white than my headlamps. :)

Hello, I should start by saying that I have done quite a bit of research on this topic, and I understand that fitting LED bulbs into halogen housings is a bit of a controversial topic here. So I hope you all do not mind my post. From what I understand, LED bulbs are usually not a great choice...

I put them on as the rubber ones were looking pretty bad. If I did it again I would just buy new rubber ones as these had to be modifies a little to tighten the hood down, and I cut the springs inside, because they would fold themselves towards the engine and it made closing the hood a pain. Maybe an OEM would work better - mine, the Amazon.
