Just replaced the PCV valve. It sucked but with the right tools it’s not too bad.

The lower one was easy. I laid on a creeper and ran my arm up behind the passenger side wheel well cover. My forearms are fairly big so if you have skinny forearms, it’ll be even easier for you. Used a Kein tool with a cut down T25 to remove the lower bolt. Upper one was harder. Ended up using a standard length T25 with a 1/4 wrench. Put a turn of electrical tape on both sides of the wrench on the T25 to allow the wrench to slide back and forth a little but not come off. Came right off with some squirming.

Used an OE Mopar replacement PVC valve. But, I replaced the torx screws with bolts. The size is M5-.80x16. I used washers but a flange bolt would be better. Unfortunately my local hardware stores didn't have that size in a flanged bolt. It worked so all is well. Used a flex head Gearwrench ratcheting wrench (8mm) to get the bolts on. SO much easier to install bolts than the T25 screws. Had it back on in about 15 mins. Part of that time was resting my arms. Tiring under the vehicle. Should be MUCH easier to replace in the future with bolts vs T25 screws.

Cut one of these down to make them even shorter

Torx bit size that I taped and used with a 1/4 wrench

Good luck! Don’t be scared to tackle it. Yes it sucks but it sucks quite a bit less once it goes back on with bolts. Jeep engineers….you are dumbasses!!

Yours is the 3.6, right? It's much, much easier on the 3.8.

Only bringing it up to clarify.

Great summary @Mopar ! I'll be doing this once we are settled in a new house. In the middle of moving currently.
