Alright, I was hesitant to ask this question as it is difficult to describe the issue, but here we go, I replaced the small speakers with kicker 3.5 CS and married the set with bass blockers; in addition, the 6.5s were replaced with JBL 3 way stage 2 speakers. Everything else is OEM. With the EQ flat, streaming music sounds good with minor bass distortion, but the radio music sound pretty bad as it sounds like someone blowing in to a microphone when the mid-bass/bass hits. To make it tolerable I minus the bass to at least -3 or more depending on the type of music. I am hesitant to spend more money to guess at fixing the issue as I have never had an issue just replacing speakers before.
