Melted hose?

Hey,
Does anyone know what type of hose this is that melted on a 2010 Jeep wrangler? And would it be the cause of my truck not starting??

Just cut the melted part off and then find a piece of rubber fuel line that will slip over the plastic pipe. It's a vacuum hose I believe.

So the mechanic said that it’s a fuel vapor line… is this the same as a vacuum hose? Or fuel line?

It doesn't matter which you use there is not any gasoline going in it just vapors from the fuel tank that gets sucked into the engine to burn.
