Replacing the factory HU on my 2012 JKU. Got a Boss double din and the PAC for it. Had an extra wire harness in the console that went into the factory unit. Looks like it was for the built in mic as well as the USB port inside my console. It also operates my SWC for my voice to talk stuff (audio buttons all work fine still).

Suggestions on how to reattach this harness? Pics show the harness and where it went into the factory HU.

Does the aftermarket unit have a usb port on the back or does the harness have a usb connector on it? If so, I believe that you need an AX-USB-MINIB cable. I don't know if that will solve your voice to talk, and I am not certain that works without the factory unit anyway, but it should get the console USB to work.
