New to me 2018 JK has no daytime lighting of the instrument panel. Every other vehicle I have has bright lighting of the panel during the day that dims when you turn on the lights is this a defect in my vehicle or is it just a JK defect?

It's just life with a JK, i've seen many others complain also. That's why I have a OB2 dash top display.

This is normal. However, it doesn't bother me at all. To be honest, I never even thought about it until you said something just now.

If US JKs had daytime running lights, wouldn't that turn on the dash lights.
Can JScan do that?

I find that wearing sunglasses make the gauges very hard to read.

I run DRLs (fog lights only) that I programmed with my ProCal. The dash lights are not illuminated.

My Jeep is a Canadian model with the DRL's and I have no dash lights unless I turn the lights on with the switch.
