Are Jeep Wrangler JK soft tops interchangeable?

I have a 14' wrangler with a sweet hard top. A few weeks ago by some freak accident I think the 2 shocks that hold the window up failed and my rear window smashed. As you can see in photo. Its cheaper for me to switch from hard top to a soft top. I may be wrong but the jk goes from 08 to 18. Any yr of soft top for the jk will fit with correct coverage??

The soft top hardware on the 07-11 models is different than the 12-18 models.

The main difference is the door surrounds. If you're buying the entire top including all of the door surrounds and hardware you will be fine. The only other thing that may be different is the footman loops on the windshield. I can't remember if those changed in 08 or 09, but they sell adapters for that. Easy fix.
