Anyone have any recommendations for, or experience with, air filter upgrades?
What's the major difference between the less expensive Red Rock or Rough Country ($150-175) versus the K&N or Flowmaster at $325?

I would rather spend that money on fuel. The performance gain is not noticeable with today’s systems.

Absolutely

You stand to gain nothing whatsoever from an air intake like this. That's not an opinion either, it's a fact.

The factory airbox is not a weak point in the design of the 3.6 Pentastar as it is with some engines. The only way for this to be effective would be to port your intake manifold, port your head, add bigger values, and open the entire path for more airflow.

It's a common misconception that you will gain power with one of these on a Jeep, but I promise you, you won't.

I'd also add that if you wheel, these air filters do more harm for your engine than good. The amount of dust and dirt you kick up off-road gets sucked in through these things much easier than with a factory airbox and filter.
