2.5" lift, 3.0 caster, do I need lower control arms

Not all 8, no. Just the front uppers. It didn't seem to make sense to get the other six as they would all be set to the stock length, unlike the uppers that are set to a little shorter than stock. At some point I'll probably get the MC lower front arms to satisfy my OCD but not needed for a 2.5"...

2.5" lift, 3.0 caster, do I need lower control arms

I installed the RC lift, then had it aligned. Shit result. I removed the RC lift and installed MC lift with Bilstein 5100s, no alignment and thus far the jeep is a completely different beast. Super happy with the result. I am sure that the caster was the main culprit, the MC control arms fixed...

2.5" lift, 3.0 caster, do I need lower control arms

Well I installed the MetalCloak lift a couple of days ago. Wow. Quite amazing difference compared to RC. No steering issues, no wallowing, jeep feels solid. First off-road tests will be tomorrow when I take her hunting for my first day this year.

2.5" lift, 3.0 caster, do I need lower control arms

JeepJeezy is spot on. I tried this. Actually felt really odd and worse than without it. I ended up buying a metalcloak lift with control arms included, yet to fit it but i have high hopes.. my bank account is not happy. Lots of folks use those relocation brackets. Probably a wise choice, I was...

2.5" lift, 3.0 caster, do I need lower control arms

I posted a prior question about replacing a rc lift. I thought before I threw it in the trash I should at least get it aligned. Alignment now done and after 45mph the jeep feels dangerous, impossible to keep straight. Wondering all over the place. Caster measures 3.0/3.1, everything else in...

Looking for suspension recommendations for my 2010 JKU

Needless to say I've double checked everything is tight and torqued correctly too. With the sag I just feel like the springs are inadequate for the job at hand and the shocks are trash. That's why I am looking elsewhere.

Looking for suspension recommendations for my 2010 JKU

Shocks were paired with the coils so, yeah a little longer. Swaybars are perfect to my knowledge - installed adjustable on front, rear sag means that stock is pretty much perfect. Link and bar make a right angle (90 degrees) so swaybar end is horizontal allowing for the most travel either way...

Looking for suspension recommendations for my 2010 JKU

#1 - wallowing out of road depressions (like no rebound), feels like it has a 4" lift with no shocks or sway bar. I can rock the thing by pressing on the bumper with 2 fingers. #2 - feel everything on the road like it was a speed bump #3 - steering is randomly light or hard. eg. You can turn...

Looking for suspension recommendations for my 2010 JKU

So, I am pretty sure i'm in the right of passage mode with this thing. As and avid hunter, I need a 4x4 to get to my walk in destination. Last year I got stuck a couple of times in my stock truck trying to reach places I probably had no business taking the truck - TLDR/ bought a JKU, 2010...

Alignment Recommendation in Folsom, CA area?

Hey there. Kind of a longshot but.. I just put on a 2.5 RC lift on my new hunting vehicle (2010 JKU) and was wondering if anyone knew of a good shop in the area for alignment that went beyond basic alignment for lifted jeeps? I centered the axles already (put on adjustable track bars) and did a...
