Hi guys i'm looking at a drop the U connect feature radio in my 2018 Jeep wrangler. I keep getting a air when listening to my bluetooth that says "u connect is looking for a phone to connect to during this time music will be muted would you like to continue" And I've had this in to the dealership multiple times and I still cannot get it fixed i'm just kind of done with U connect and I would like to put a new radio that has Android auto that doesn't break the bank and looks good and allows me to use the factory controls on my steering wheel. any recommendations would be greatly appreciated

Get rid of that U connect garbage and you'll be happier.

I fought w/ the factory radio limitations on my '08 Charger for 6-8 years before I saw the light and pulled it all out.

Your solution is an aftermarket headunit.

I’m in this camp too. Head over to Crutchfield and look at the many solutions.

[Addendum] This is an inexpensive unit. I've installed it in both of our JKUR's. They work very well. It supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, but it's based on an Android tablet, so you can also choose to install music (or whatever) apps directly on the tablet. I have things like Amazon Music, GaiaGPS, and JScan installed on ours.

This! As so many others have said, get rid of the garbage factory head unit. You'll be so much happier you did.

UCRAP ONLY WORKS RIGHT IN THE LAB
IN THE REAL WORLD ITS U RELIABLE JUNK.

GO TO CRUTCHFIELD. COM AND PUT YOUR JEEP INFO IN THE PRODUCT SELECTOR
IT WILL SHOW YOU EVERY RADIO THAT FITS, ALL THE RIGHT ADAPTER HARNESS, INSTALL VIDS.. ECT AND THERE ARE PLENTY OF BRAND NAME I EXPENSIVE OPTIONS
FIRST THING TO DECIDE.. NO BUTTONS JUST TOUCHSCREEN, OR UNITS WITH BOTH.
NEXT... INTERNAL GPS OR NOT... ID GO NO AS THEIR EXPENSIVE.

GOOD LUCK

+1,000 for Crutchfield.
I just installed a new Double-Din receiver, w/ Sirius/XM module, steering wheel control adapter, bezel kit, GPS antenna, microphone, etc on my neighbors’ 2007 Ford Sport-Trac in less than 2 hours.
Spend a bit of time dialing in your search parameters and get EVERYTHING that goes with the head unit that you choose, and you’ll be golden.
Crutchfield has amazing customer service & tech support as well.

On our JK, I went with the 10.1” Android unit from Amazon because I wasn’t liking the available options or prices on Crutchfield when I was looking, but I’ve used them many times in the past.

Yes, both of the ones I bought do. I suspect you'd be hard pressed to find an Android tablet that DOESN"T support BlueTooth.
