Numerous Dash Warning Lights Coming On & Going Off

Most likely, this will be due to a blown fuse, which is designed to protect the circuits in case of a surge. However, it could also be due to deeper wiring issues. These problems could still cause the fuse to blow, and they may persist even after a fuse replacement.

Which fuse would you think? Why does the Jeep have no lights when running after warming up for a bit. I would think if it were a fuse it would happen at all times. The problem is only happening at the beginning of a trip and only when driving above 20mph or so. After it warms up I can go as fast as I like and no lights ever...

If the check engine light is not coming on, then that is a good sign. If your dashboard before displayed the check engine light before and now it is not coming on, then the dashboard warning light could have burned out. If the dashboard light is good, then the ECM could be defective causing the light to not come on.

Ever single warning light comes on and then after afew seconds they go away. After 5 minutes of driving the christmas tree of warning lights never come back on.

Not exactly. I had all the warning lights come on but also mine would get stuck on whatever gear I was on and the cooling fan would go full speed. The tech said that the transmission was going into limp mode.
Mine is a manual so none of those symptoms but the Jeep seems to drive as normal as it ever does when the lights are lit up like an Xmas tree. I am going to check grounds connected tot he engine and maybe replace the battery terminals as well. I have 5 total wires going to the positive and negative side of the cable so maybe I need a high current terminal brass post setup or something...

So Autozone said the battery is fine and so is the alternator. I had them scan the codes and nothing popped up.

i drove the Jeep for about 50 miles today which is a lot for me and all the warning lights came on and went off and the head unit went on and off while driving early on when it was cold. At idle sitting still, the lights never came on and off. Then as I drove more and more and kept the Jeep warm the lights never came on....

I have no clue what to look at. Has anyone ever experienced that? Is the ECU resetting itself after disconnecting the battery and cleaning everything? Loose ground somewhere maybe on the block? I have no clue...
To me that really sounds like a loose wire/ ground somewhere. You seem to understand that as you specifically mention that the problem doesn't happen at a stop, but only while moving.

Given the items that are failing, I would start my search under the dash. Somewhere on these forums is a schematic and there may be pictures to boot.

Hey, guys so I took the terminals off and cleaned them thoroughly and tightened the posts down tight. Here are some pics of the battery terminals and as best as I could shoot the crazy lights that come on the dash the first 5 mins while driving periodically while driving.

I am running out of ideas and am no master mechanic. Can someone tell me where the ground wire from the battery terminal connects to on a 07 Wtrangler 6-speed? Kind of hard to trace it...

Also, do you think I need to totally replace my battery terminals? As you can see there are like 6 total wires connected to each side of the battery. Might that be causing this issue? Do you think I should disconnect all accessory-powered items and just leave the car's positive and negative wires connected and drive and see if it still has the issue?

That negative terminal looks pretty corroded to me. Also the positive one looks loose, like there's a gap most of the way around the post. If the clamp can wiggle even a little bit on that battery post it causes arcing and all sorts of problems. Also, it is never a bad idea to disconnect your after market accessories when you experience electrical issues. It's usually the first thing I do.

As far as grounds go, there are many. Some are visible in your hood, some are under the engine, some are in your footwells.

All of those clamps and connections look like they need cleaned. The ground from the battery goes to the engine block.

That also looks like a 5 year old battery it could be on it's way out.

The terminals are tight and I cannot wiggle them. Heck, I have to insert a flathead in the gap to spread them apart enough after loosening the bolt to get them to break free. If you feel the terminals need replacing would these work well?

I had it tested at Autozone and they said it was good. Could there test be bad? If the battery is going out is it just not able to support all the accessories?

If it was tested good then it should be, but yes those battery clamps you linked are much better than the Factory clamps.

No I don't think these are a good choice, the other clamps offer a couple of places to connect your accessories wires that are on each terminal.
Awesome I ordered the first set I linked to and will put them on tomorrow and report back.

Can you describe a little bit more exactly where the engine ground is on my model? Assuming the passenger side somewhere where the oil pan and block meet but it did not stand out to me when I looked under there tonight?

I don‘t mean to be rude but the negative post and clamp in this picture is not clean, there is too much corrosion on there. The clamp needs to be removed and clean the post and clamp with water and baking soda, and a battery terminal tool. Not only that the 5/18 sticker typically indicates installation date or mfr date so it’s basically 5 years old. It’s on its last legs. I‘d take it somewhere and have it tested.
