Replacing the vacuum pump on my 13-jeep wrangler JK. The vacuum fitting on the pump broke off inside of the 90° elbow. We need to replace the elbow or the line and the Dealer wants $52 for the whole line and the fitting (Diagram 13) All parts stores say its a dealer only part. Anybody help?

Do you think you can drill it out and tap it with a pipe tap and then screw a brass barbed fitting in then slip the hose on it?

We were just trying to find a way to get it locked onto the tube (like the plastic connector) instead of a hose that could possibly slip off.

You would need to put hose clamps on the hose ends, but it's vacuum and as long as it fits snug it shouldn't come off.
