First was going to go with Auxbeam 4" but no cover available .
Need a cover for when not in use .
More googling led me to Hella.
They have a 6" but omethimg about the look
rubbed me the wrong way .
Than I remembered KC. They been around forever .
Which led me to the KC Slimlite LED.
7000 lumens per light .
Will be mounted on a EVO cowl mount bracket .
Not cheap but looking at verified reviews on Amazon,
You tube and the trusted internet .lol Brught as the sun,
water and condensation proof .
Will be operated by overhead
switch pod. Will not be using KC relay or switch .
Just wondering what you guys think ?
Thanks

I think there is a reason KC HiLites has been around so long. They make everything from junky cheap stuff that a High School kid can put on their beater to make it look tough, to high end lighting used by professionals.

I don’t have that specific model but had a pair mounted on my Jeep, where there when I bought it. They work well. I also had them on my old YJ, worked well then too.

TBH in all my years never heard of KC being associated with cheap junk . Than again
I’m relatively new to off roading & Jeeps by forum standards . But have been aware of KC lighting for years . Seen their ads in car mags and on. Pickup roll bars etc Some of you guys have been doing this forever .
I’m still on my first Jeep. Lol
So not sure if your saying these are junk or good ?

Oh yes. When I was in High School (you know, back when you used a hand crank to start your engine...) all the cool guys put them on a rollbar in their pickup. Most of them weren't even wired. But they looked cool, with their smiley face covers.

I was cleaning out some old junk and found this old picture of me inventing fire...

I have not used that specific light, but KC generally makes good stuff. Even their cheap junk isn't bad; it'll work just fine, but it's cheap, so don't expect it to last forever or be as bright. On my Ram, I had some KC lights on the roll bar (I'm still a punk kid at heart) and some Lightforce monsters on the front. At the time, Lightforce was the most insanely bright lights I could find, and they were adjustable, like a maglight, to produce a wide flood, a thin spot, or anywhere in between. Lightforce is NOT cheap, but they are great lights.

Those are very nice lights. A bit too pricy for me. But I`m a cheap A$$

Thanks Bud , appreciate it .
Aluminum housing ,
Cree LED’s which are considered top notch .
Really like the look as well.
I hear ya, more than I planned but they are very powerful
7000 lumens per light so should light up the trail really well and with KC’s long history of making quality products should last quite a long time .
