I'm new to this forum and a new JK owner, so I thought I would share my mounting of an Olight Murauder II. Flashlights have come a long way and the old Maglite gets left behind in technology these days, so I wanted something more modern in looks and in performance. Originally, I bought this holster off Etsy that came with Tek Lok style locking clip that I removed for this install. The holes in the holster lined up perfectly with the two rear side holes on the driver seat. I used the Chicago screws that mounted the Tek Lok to the holster.

Welcome and thanks for sharing. I assume the light is bright? Batteries or rechargeable?

Welcome to the forum .
That's a handy place for a mount .
I have a larger trigger style rechargable that
I keep under rear seat .

Could you give us Links to the Holster and light for those who would like to buy them?
I found EBay to have the best prices on these flashlights at times. Seems different colors are more in demand and have different prices. There is a seller that comes on once in a while and puts them up for auction. I don't see him now.

I almost fell out of my chair at some of those prices.
Crazy, aren't they? If I want a super bright flashlight, I use something like the Impact stubby I use for backup lights in caves. Incredibly bright, 2 hours constant burn, 4 hours usable light, strong enough to be waterproof to 450', and with a Goodman handle I don't even have to hold it. They're $130, less if you already have chargers.

Yeah , no , $350 USD for a flash light . That’s just mentally challenged pricing .
The one I have was a gift and will do Just fine in the Jeep
Depends on the context. There are niche products that seem outrageously expensive, if you're not in that niche. For example, I have a $2400 flashlight. Which will strike most people as insane, if they don't just assume it's a typo. But for me, it's worth every penny. It's a cannister light that serves as my primary light for cave diving. On the highest of it's 5 levels, it puts out an honest 8700 lumens, and will do so for 10 hours. At it's lowest level, it'll burn non-stop for nearly 4.5 days. And it's rated to withstand the pressure of a 500' dive without damage. Light is a pretty big deal when you're way back in a cave.

Yes you are right bother . Sorry if my post came across rather douche .
I was simply looking from the perspective of having a flashlight in the Jeep in case of issue with Jeep at night .
Or if doing an overnight in the bush having a flashlight always available .
For sure there are niche products for Just about everything that can get expensive . Like as you mentioned dive lights or spelunking lights is something you most def want the best quality available .
It’s kinda of funny as I had big audio system for years . The money I put into that . Gulp .
So I think most everyone has something they will spare no expense on .
I should have thought before I typed .

IMHO I like this HF cordless work light. $30. 1250 lumens. Doubles as a battery pack for charging USB devices. Folds flat and stores easy. Has a 1/4" tripod threaded hole...I bolted a magnet to mine.

The magnet is a great idea. Holds the light when you're working, and doubles as a mount when you're not.

I do like the idea of having a flashlight within easy reach. Not having to get out and start digging thru the box of gear I keep in the back- straps, wrenches, sockets, etc.
I'm with you. There's nothing worse than rummaging around in a big bag of stuff. I'm anal about having things organized so I can lay hands on what I need immediately. I think it's from 40 years in the ER.

Ha! Was gonna say, my shop is as organized as a trauma room... and it's not even labeled. I know exactly where everything is.
