Need advice after JK got rained on with the top off

I'm looking for any thoughts or advice for the following. I forgot to put my tops back on a few nights ago and it rained. Everything from the dash, seats, and floor was completely saturated. I have since dried as much of the floor and seats as possible with a shop vac and shampooer and ran the heat to dry out even more. Leaving for work today I noticed my wipers, headlights, rear wiper, and heated seats were not working. Is it possible water has damaged the entire electrical system or might it just be my fuses for each of those components has blown? Thank you.

The water probably got into the multi function switches at the steering wheel, very common issue when the top is off.

Not sure if they will be ok after the switches get dried out or not.

Hopefully just the stuff that is in the steering wheel. Test your horn. If that doesn't work your clockspring (the components that allows connections on the steering wheel to work) is probably fried.

You may have also fried the blinker stalk (multifunction switch).

I would close up the vehicle and run it with the heat on its highest for awhile. See if you can dry things out...

Thank you. So if I'm understanding you both, checking the fuses isn't worth my time? The steering wheel did have a lot of water on it, so I think that's where the most damage occurred.

I looked into the multifunction switches and it looks as though they are pretty easy to install. Have you had any experience with this? Any tips?

You should check the fuses also, I would try drying the switches out first. There are probably some videos out there that shows how to replace the switches.

I'd pull the carpet and seats out to let them dry too.

That carpet will get stanky if you don't. Will also give you access to the drain holes.
 
Don’t close up the Jeep to dry it out. You don’t want to trap the moisture inside. If you can rely on the weather to not rain or have a garage or covered parking, open up your Jeep and set up a shop fan set on high to blow through the interior. Good airflow will speed up the drying process.
 
Once you have it dried out to the best of your ability & you put the top back on, I would go to the local dollar store and get a few of the closet/cabinet dehumidifiers and set them up in there when it's closed up.
They will suck the water out of the air and help dry out areas that you can't get to.
 
All really good pieces of advice, thank you. It looks as though I'm dealing with the clockspring issue MacGuyver talked about. Horn doesn't sound and the airbag light is illuminated. As for moisture, I was able to dry out the carpet and seats extremely well. Gonna be a spending fix though. I'm gonna start with the multifunction switches. Hopefully, that will give me back my turn signals, lights, and wipers. I need those the most as I do live in the lovely P&W ;).

WHY WOULD YOU CONSIDER CHANGING A STALK BEFORE CHECKING FUSES... THAT'S LIKE BUYING A NEW CAR BECAUSE YOU RAN OUT OF GAS
 
Go to the dollar store and buy yourself a couple of the”moisture absorbing” gizmos that they sell to keep your closet dry and your clothes from smelling musty.
Then get a kitchen trash bag, drop a couple of those units in and then tie it over/around your steering column and let it sit overnight.
These SHOULD dry out the moisture and help avoid a costly and time consuming repair.
