I currently have 3.21 gears and feel a loss now with 35” tires. I want to go to 38” so gears will be addressed. Does this quote seem reasonable? Anything else that should be addressed?

I had 3.21 gears and changed them to 4.56 gears. I am running 35" tires. I got rid of the open differential and went with Yukon limited slip differentials. The cost was about $3k.

If you want a locker of some kind now is the time for it. I know you can do a E-locker on about all of the JK's but I heard some auto's you can't do a full locker.

I considered lockers when I regeared my axles. I was looking at an additional $1k. I don't do that much offroading to justify that cost. So I just upgraded the differentials.

Running 35's with the 5spd automatic you need no less than 4.10's to put you in the low end of the power band. 4.56's put you in the upper end. I would not do 38's with the dana 30 front axle.

I heard 35's was the biggest to go with the D30 front axle, unless it was trussed and HD axle shafts put in. But if you was to do all of that you might as well get a front D44.

About $2k around here for gears. Add more if doing lockers. I’d probably do lockers while it’s open anyways if you don’t have them now

I have those exact same gears from Revolution but 5.13's. Luckily the shop owner is more of a friend and charged me about $1050 for pretty much everything you have listed there. The gears was the only modification I did not do to my Jeep, my skills aren't as advanced :)

Definitely you got a hook up. I agree there is a lot of stuff I am willing to do, that is way out of my wheelhouse.
