The odds are much greater the spare could fall off under normal road vibration conditions than you getting a flat and needing that spare. If you really feel like you need the spare, take it off the mount and toss it in the back for the time being.

It is my understanding there are 3 receivers. 1 is located on a cross-member bracket near the rear axle, which monitors the rear wheels. 2 & 3 are located in each of the front wheel wells

Okay, that's not the rear main. Adapter seal or transfer case seal? Maybe I'm thinking those are a bit further back. But, if it was at the bell housing, wouldn't it be transmission fluid and not oil?

To be honest, I don't know. I just had my oil cooler replaced a few weeks back because of a small leak, yet it never put the first spot on my driveway. Seems to me, with the amount of oil on the exhaust, that it would be readily identifiable by the smell or smoke, or both, right?

Yeah, that's not AC condensate. Looks like a rear main seal to me.

I just give my wife a yell and we have no issues picking it up and walking it back. No cost in that at all.... well, in a manner of speaking anyway. In reality, I suppose I've dropped a sh!t-ton of money in that investment over the last 29 years....lol.

Don't sell your Jeep short (no pun intended). I bought mine in 2016 with 35k miles on it for $32k. Traded my loaded 2009 Tahoe LTZ with 117k miles. Took my Jeep down to $15k. I can still sell my Jeep today in this market for $20k.
