I live in a flat, below sea level environment. Flash floods and local street flooding is unfortunately, common
I have a recently purchased ( First jeep) 17 Sahara JkU with a 4 inch lift and 34” Toyo Open Country ATs.
What is the maximum water level I can safely traverse? I’m not looking to make a boat out of my Wrangler, but there are areas all over the city that typically flood. we even have rulers painted on the side of tressels and overpasses so that people going under can tell the water level before driving in and drowning their car.
Just looking for a “ safe” depth before it gets dicey. Thanks

Thanks. During even brief but heavy rain, the city has areas that flood before the pumps catch up. I’m just looking to not over estimate what the Sahara can handle, nor do I want to experiment. I truly do not expect to drive through 30” of water deliberately. But a might have to go thru 20“”—24” on ocassion. Often to “ rescue” stranded motorists who thought their mini Cooper could plow through 3 feet of water if the go fast enough. M

28" max without extending your breather lines. Remember not to plow through the water like those Mini Coopers! You don't want to suck in water through the air box and hydro lock your motor.
